DE-ICE BOOT TREATMENT
De-ice boot treatment cleans and conditions the pneumatic de-ice boots on wing and tail leading edges, removing contaminants and oxidation and applying a protective dressing that keeps the rubber flexible.
WHY BOOTS NEED CARE
Pneumatic de-ice boots on turboprops and piston twins take a beating from UV, ozone, bugs, and de-icing fluid. Dirty, dried-out rubber looks bad and ages faster.
Cleaning and conditioning keeps the rubber supple and protected, and gives the leading edges a clean, uniform finish.
HOW WE DO IT
We gently clean the boots to remove bugs, residue, and oxidation, then apply a protective conditioning dressing. Common on aircraft like the King Air, Pilatus PC-12, and Piper Seneca.
Common Questions
DE-ICE BOOT TREATMENT FAQ
How often should de-ice boots be treated?
Many operators treat boots ahead of icing season and again as needed through winter. Aircraft parked outside benefit from more frequent treatment.
Can boot treatment be combined with an exterior wash?
Yes, and that's the most efficient way to do it. Most customers add it to a wet or dry wash.
