AIRCRAFT BRIGHTWORK POLISHING
Aircraft brightwork polishing restores bare aluminum such as leading edges, engine inlet lips, and propeller spinners to a mirror finish by removing oxidation and haze.
WHAT BRIGHTWORK IS
Brightwork is the unpainted, polished metal on an aircraft, most often leading edges, engine inlet lips, and spinner cones. Bare aluminum oxidizes quickly in sun, moisture, and de-icing fluid, turning dull and gray.
HOW WE POLISH
We clean and degrease the metal, then work it through progressively finer polishing stages until the oxidation is gone and the surface is mirror-smooth. Adjacent paint and seals are protected throughout.
Brightwork stays brighter for longer with regular washes. Many owners pair polishing with a scheduled wash plan so the shine never fades far.
Common Questions
AIRCRAFT BRIGHTWORK POLISHING FAQ
How often should aircraft brightwork be polished?
It depends on exposure. Aircraft parked outside or flying in wet and de-icing conditions need it more often. Regular washes stretch the time between polishing.
Can you polish brightwork on the ramp?
Yes. Our crew is mobile and works on your ramp or in your hangar, coordinated with your FBO.
