AIRCRAFT CERAMIC COATING
Aircraft ceramic coating is a professionally applied treatment that chemically bonds to your aircraft's paint, forming a hard, ultra-smooth layer that protects against UV, oxidation, corrosion, and exhaust soot for up to 5 years.
WHY COAT YOUR AIRCRAFT
Aircraft in the Mountain West spend their lives in high-altitude sun, winter de-icing fluid, and summer bug season. Uncoated paint oxidizes, dulls, and holds onto contaminants, which means harder washes and earlier paint work.
A ceramic coating gives the paint a sacrificial, hydrophobic layer. Water, soot, and bugs release more easily, routine washes go faster, and the finish keeps its depth and gloss far longer than wax.
CERAMIC COATING VS. HYBRID CERAMIC VS. WAX
Full ceramic coating: chemically bonds to the surface; durability up to 5 years depending on use, storage, and maintenance washes.
Hybrid ceramic sealant: a spray-applied blend of SiO₂ and polymers; durability about 8–12 months. A good choice for aircraft that need protection quickly or between full coatings.
Wax: a quick cosmetic boost applied during the wash; light protection up to about 6 months.
HOW WE APPLY IT
Every coating starts with a full wash and decontamination. Where the paint is oxidized or hazy we perform paint polish restoration first, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. The coating is then applied panel by panel and left to cure before the aircraft flies.
The work is done on your ramp or in your hangar by our mobile crew, scheduled around your trips.
Common Questions
AIRCRAFT CERAMIC COATING FAQ
How long does an aircraft ceramic coating last?
Up to 5 years, depending on how the aircraft is used, whether it is hangared, and how regularly it gets maintenance washes. A hybrid ceramic sealant lasts about 8–12 months.
Is ceramic coating safe for aircraft paint?
Yes. Ceramic coatings bond to the clear coat or paint surface to protect it. We apply them to painted surfaces and keep them off areas where they don't belong.
Should I polish before ceramic coating?
If the paint shows oxidation, haze, or swirl marks, yes. A coating seals in the current finish, so we correct it first.
